It is with mixed feelings that I pen these words to the ‘Centurion’ the Website of the Centenary Group of the Old Boys of S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia.

It was in March 2017 that Nihal Samarasinghe was elected the President and I the Senior Vice President. It came as a shock, without any warning, when Nihal left this earth on his journey, leaving a vacant seat. It is an honour to succeed Nihal, in mid stream. We certainly miss him at our meetings.

The Centenary Group is privileged to be a part of the ‘Second Century’, having entered College when STC celebrated 100 years, this year we joined in celebrating 100 years at Mount. For us a Historical day.

We are also privileged to support the College in refurbishing the Main Class Room block, while leaving some historical markings without over-painting. The Main Block looks inviting and we will maintain this, as we have pledged to maintain the Dining Hall over the past several years.

Members of the Centenary Group, as well as non members, are most welcome to join us in supporting the school in ventures we undertake for the school.
